It Was Just a Camera, I Swear
It started the way most of my hobbies do: casually. Harmlessly. Just dipping a toe in. Forty-eight hours later, I was four hours deep into YouTube reviews, wondering if I “needed” a 70-200mm lens even though I barely knew how to turn the camera on.
That’s the thing—I don’t dabble. I go all in. I learn, I travel, I shoot, I overspend, and I absolutely do not chill. What began as a passing interest turned into a compulsion to capture every flamingo, every street corner, every moody stretch of ocean like it owed me something. The result? Thousands of photos, several suspicious credit card statements, and now, this.
I’m launching a blog to tell the stories behind the images—some funny, some chaotic, some borderline useful—and opening a print shop so these moments don’t just sit in Lightroom purgatory. These aren’t perfect pictures. They’re not trying to be. They’re little freeze frames of obsession, awe, and occasional sunburn.
If that sounds like your kind of chaos, welcome. You’re in good company.
